According to the new labor law, contracts will be issued for remote work, shared jobs, flexible, temporary, part-time, and full-time jobs in the private sector. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation issued 12 types of permits on Feb 2, 2022, in accordance with the six work models outlined in the UAE's new labor legislation.

The regulations, which come on the heels of the UAE's recent series of ground-breaking visa schemes, aid in the implementation of the law's new provisions, which aim to protect employee rights and create a flexible and efficient labor market in the UAE that attracts and retains talent from around the world.

Work permits will be granted for juveniles, freelancers, Golden Visa holders, and temporary, part-time employees under the new labor law. Employers will be permitted to train and hire juveniles aged 15 and UAE or GCC residents, as well as recruit personnel from outside for a specific project or temporary labor, under other permissions.

Contracts for remote work shared jobs, flexible, temporary, part-time, and full-time positions in the private sector will be granted starting tomorrow. So as the importance of workmen compensation insurance to provide legal liability coverage for the employees for any injuries incurred during their employment.

The permits, according to Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, would give workers a variety of employment alternatives that are tailored to their requirements and situations.

THE 12 WORK PERMITS

One-mission permit: Allows businesses and organizations to hire a person from another country for temporary employment or a specific project that must be finished within a set time frame.

Part-time work permit: Enables employees to work for multiple employers for a set amount of time or days.

Juvenile permit: Allows companies to recruit minors between the ages of 15 and 18 if certain standards under the law are fulfilled.

Student training permit: Permits businesses and organizations to train and hire minors aged 15 under strict guidelines that promote a safe working environment.

UAE/GCC National permit: When recruiting citizens from the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), this permit is required.

Golden Visa Holders permit: When a Golden Visa holder is hired within the UAE, this permit is issued.

National Trainee permits: Permits businesses and organizations to train UAE nationals depending on their certifications or fields of expertise.

Freelancer permit: Self-sponsored expats who seek to offer a specific service, accomplish a job, or work for a specific amount of time for an individual or a firm without sponsorship or existing contracts are issued this document.

  • - A work permit enabling you to hire a migrant citizen.

  • - A work permit that allows an expat worker to switch his or her job from one ministry-registered establishment to another.

  • - A work permit for expats endorsed by their families.

These regulations will allow the UAE to create an efficient labor market that adapts to the changing world and attracts talent from all over the world.
