In a recent set of developments, the Emergency and Disasters Committee and Abu Dhabi Crisis Committee have a new set of guidelines for those who want to enter the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. This new set of the guideline is set to be on function from November 8.

According to this new rule, all who chose to visit Abu Dhabi from November 8 onwards and proceed to stay for four or more consecutive days will have to go for a mandatory PCR test on their fourth entry day. Those who choose to stay for eight or more consecutive days need to go for the second round of PCR tests, which will be conducted on the eighth day. The entry date will be counted from Day 1 onwards. They should make their entrance within 48 hours after receiving a negative PCR or DPI testing result.

Previously, PCR testing was done on anyone on the sixth day after entering the Emirate. But from November 8, these rules won't be followed anymore.

Let's say and You entered Abu Dhabi on Monday. It will be considered as your Day 1. After this, if you decide to stay in the Emirates for four or more days, you will be asked to go through a PCR test, which will be conducted on Thursday( Day 4). If you decided to extend your stay and make it up to eight or more consecutive days, you would be asked to go for a second PCR testing mandatorily, Monday, 9 Day 8 ) accordingly.

For those who fail to appear for the PCR testing on Day 4 and Day 8, they will end up with fines. Further, it haS been asked to the volunteers for COvid-19 vaccine trials to use authorized emergency vehicle lanes for a smoother journey.

Entry procedures required while entering into Abu Dhabi:

- When you enter Abu Dhabi, you are required to provide a negative Covid-19 test result. While crossing the border, two types of test results will be accepted – RT-PCR testing, which is a reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction test done with a nasal swab. A Laser-based DPI ( Diffractive Phase Interferometry ) Test, which is a type of blood test. Having a negative result on either of the two test types is acceptable.
